Sierra Ecotone Solutions specializes in terrestrial wildlife biology, floristic surveys, and environmental permitting in the Lake Tahoe Basin and the surrounding areas. Owner and operator, Garth Alling gained experience as a field biologist in the Sierra Nevada as well as in the states of Washington and Oregon. Mr. Alling currently leads clients through local planning and permitting processes in the Lake Tahoe Region, Northern California and Nevada. Duties include performing habitat delineations for sensitive wildlife species and performing surveys for sensitive bird, mammal, amphibian and plant species. Mr. Alling also performs biological analysis for USDA Forest Service, Tahoe Regional Planning Agency and California agencies in accordance with NEPA and CEQA requirements.  Mr. Alling currently is the Douglas County Lay Member for the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency Advisory Planning Commission.
